Increased Standardization

Existing Knowledge Base - We capture our experience in processes and procedures to capitalize on industry standards and best practices. We also look to leverage existing deliverable templates to provide enhanced client value. Instead of “re-inventing the wheel” each time at client expense, we prepare and package the results at the earliest opportunity. This documentation of processes and procedure helps our client relationship efforts as it provides for examples and tangible decision-making collateral for clients.

Deliverable Templates – EHI Technology Consulting leverages an existing pool of templates and samples from consulting experiences on a variety of systems. This knowledge base enables our consultants to be more productive in a shorter period of time than if they were starting from scratch and increases the quality of the deliverables.

Agile Rapid Application Development Approach – This approach is an industry standard which has been proven to provide reduced costs, reduced development time, better end user experience, and increased client input. This approach is detailed in section 3 of this document.

Change Control Process – EHI Technology Consulting implements a stringent project change control process which helps control project costs. By implementing this standardized industry best practice the scope, timelines, and cost of the project are managed in a controlled manor. This enables the organizations executives to be involved and aware of decisions that impact the projects timeline, scope, costs and enables them to ensure alignment remains with the other business objectives.

Project Governance – EHI Technology Consulting implements a governance structure within its project teams and recommends that clients have an overarching governance structure for the project. This helps articulate communication lines and aides in the escalation of risks and issues.

Industry Standards & Best Practices – Some of the industry standards and best practices that we leverage include: IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Rational Unified Process (RUP), Project Management Institute Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI PMBoK), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Development Control (Change Management & Release Management) – Implementing these industry standard processes help manage and control the code base and ensure orderly improvements and releases into test and production environments. These processes are critical to the stability of a system.


Delivery Network

Just In Time (JIT) Resources – EHI Technology Consulting brings an approach which enables us to cost effectively tap into wide network of highly specialized consultants. This ability to bring together a wide range of specializations on a “Just In Time” (JIT) basis enables the high quality services to be delivered on a cost effective basis.

Global Delivery Network (24/7 Development & Test) – EHI Technology Consulting brings a 24/7 development and test approach by leveraging offshore resources in an opposite time zone. This enables work to continue on a 24/7 basis and allows development to occur within tighter timelines. An example of how this can be leveraged is as follows:

  • During system integration testing onshore testers identify 10 defects (system bugs); 9am – 5pm EST
  • 5pm - 9pm EST, the onshore application architect investigates the issues and triages the issue to the offshore development team during a transition call at 9pm-10pm EST (9am for offshore developers)
  • 10pm – 7am EST (10am – 7pm offshore), the offshore developers work to code fixes to the 10 defects/bugs
  • 7am EST – 9am EST, the fixed code is QA checked by the onshore application architect and deployed to the test environment for re-testing
  • 9am EST, onshore testers execute the re-test to ensure the defect/bug is fixed

 
 
Enhanced Quality
 
People (Senior Resources with 10+ years experience) – Many of the consultants on our project team have ‘Big 5’ consulting firm experience performing similar work; however we come to market with a unique approach and lower cost overhead. Our consultants have a variety of backgrounds and include senior roles in the development and implementation of system development and integration projects. Most of the individual resources being proposed for this project have over 10 years of experience and collectively represent over 100 years’ of experience on IT engagements.

 
Accountability Based Delivery – EHI Technology Consulting partners and consultants are accountability-based professionals with both the academic credentials and practical experience required to take full-responsibility for the delivery of quality services and client satisfaction. We strengthen our individual expertise with our collaborative knowledge delivery methods.

Specialized Resources By leveraging our JIT network of consultants EHI Technology Consulting is able to provide highly specialized resources in a cost effective manor. This increases the quality of the final product and improves client value realization.

ISO 9000 Quality Management – EHI Technology Consulting follows industry standards in quality management which are detailed in appendix D of this document.

Iterative Development Approach with Continued Business Input – This approach (Agile RAD Iterations) provides an opportunity for the business to see a product and provide input into adjustments to be made to the usability of the application.
